Conversational Commentary on Ecclesiastes

At the beginning of this year, some of the women in our network began meeting with me (Michelle) and Liz Patton because they felt called to have the same gospel-centered conversations we have inside SWHW with the women in their communities and churches. It has been INCREDIBLE to see how God has moved as women simply got together to hear from Him through His Word and stir each other up. And now - the same curriculum we've been using is available for YOU! Today is big, because we are announcing a new resource series that will have 1-2 new volumes each year: Conversational Commentary by She Works His Way! This world is not lacking in good -- yes, even gospel-centered -- information. We also have more distribution channels to provide the information to more people in ways that are quick, cost-efficient, and convenient to access. I'm grateful for these outlets - any place the gospel can be proclaimed is reason to rejoice. But the good information and great distribution are not enough on their own. As believers, we're all called to be disciples who make disciples -- and that cannot be automated and distributed, delegated to some, or [...]

What Working Women Need to Hear from Their Pastors

We live in a largely dual-income world, which means many of the women in our churches work at least part-time. Although these women may feel called to work or have a financial need to work, many still battle insecurity and guilt in Christian circles. Even if no one else verbalizes these concerns, working women often battle them in their own hearts and minds. Because of her job, a working woman probably can’t attend the midweek morning Bible study at church. She may not be able to host afternoon playdates or serve as the room mom at her kid’s school. And while those may seem like small pieces of her life, the Enemy can use them to create guilt and doubt about the season she’s in and the places God has called her to serve. Many working women battle insecurity and guilt in Christian circles. Pastors, you can proclaim truths from God’s Word with love and authority. Here are a few things working women need to hear from you that will help drown out our [...]

By |2022-07-08T10:10:39-04:00July 8th, 2022|Uncategorized|

Do you want to do better when it comes to being productive and doing what matters most? So do we! But in the middle of the overwhelm and the piling stack of to-dos, sometimes it's hard to figure out why we're struggling. So we came up with 5 simple questions to ask yourself that can help identify where the issue lies when it comes to your productivity. They've worked for us and we pray they'll do the same for you! 1. Did you pray first? Duh. (This probably isn't something you don't know- but maybe you just need reminding.) 2. Does your workspace energize you? Create a workspace that you love because how we feel makes a difference in our creativity and overall work performance. 3. Have you eliminated distractions? Know when your deep-work hours are and be intentional about shutting out the distractions or you'll always feel frazzled. 4. Do you know what's most important? If everything's important, nothing is. Figure out what matters most. And if you need help with that, we use The Great Commission and The Greatest Commandment to help us see what tasks get priority. 5. [...]
