If you've been here for more than a minute, you probably know... 1. We love the local church. 2. We have a book coming out on October 12... a date that's actually starting to feel like it's right around the corner! (Head here to preorder yours + get chapter one as a digital download plus other SWHW-related bonuses!) And here's what our love of the local church + our book have in common... One of the things we feel God calling us to do is gift copies of our upcoming book to local churches, and the best way we know to do that is by putting books in pastors' hands. And when I shared about this briefly on my Instagram stories, we were blown away by your generosity and how you wanted to help. There are three ways you can partner with us in this specific project: 1) Preorder an extra copy of our book + give it to your pastor. We know the best way to get it in your local church is through you! So if you'd like to participate in the most personal way, preorder an extra copy [...]

Unknown. Uncertain. Unsure. Are you sick of those words too? I know I am… but hear me out anyway. Each of us are walking in the unknown in our lives now — some more than others — but it reminds me of Abraham who “went out, not knowing where He was going” (Hebrews 11:8). To our human flesh, that’s scary. BUT here’s what we have to remember: 100% of the time when God doesn’t tell us what He’s going to do or when He will do it, He always gives us something better: He reveals to us WHO HE IS. And knowing who God is will always produce more faith than simply knowing what God will do. What if we stopped waiting on God to do something — and we simply were in awe of how He is revealing Himself more clearly than ever before? I want it to be over too. But what I’m challenging myself with is to lean into the unknown - and begging God to build my confidence in who He is.
It's that time already -- the Narrow 2021 Schedule is here! Three things to note: #1: we're starting and ending earlier than we have in previous years. Rather than a Friday evening kick-off, Narrow will begin Friday after lunch. Especially if you are planning to fly, you may want to arrive Thursday evening so you don't miss a moment of our time together. We will also conclude on Saturday before dinner. This will allow some of you more turnaround time to get home or get back to your church/family for Sunday. For others of you who have more flexibility in your travel plans, this will allow you more time to be together: either with the group you're coming with or the new friends you make at the conference before you head home. #2: expect more workshopping this year. The two things the pandemic has limited us the most in are in-person community + conversation - so because the best thing about SWHW is what we can learn from each other, we're making maximum room at Narrow to prioritize those. Community groups are back, [...]
