3 Verses to Inspire Your Customer Interaction

By |2020-05-08T15:46:53-04:00September 8th, 2016|Faith, Faith-Based Leadership|

In my last blog, I talked about how dealing with customers could be an opportunity for them to see the love of God. It’s a great chance to share His love and offer grace and mercy. I know firsthand that sometimes interacting with customers can be challenging, and quite frankly, exhausting. On days when I don’t feel like being sweet or offering grace and mercy, I go to God’s Word. There are so many wonderful scripture verses that teach us about interacting with others. And this totally relates to our customers. Here are 3 of those verses: Verse #1: 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. [Colossians 3:23-24] I need to be reminded daily that I work for the Lord. My allegiance is to Him. Everything I do should be a reflection of Him. Here’s how: In your Gmail account click on the gear icon and then settings. Click on the tab that says Labs (one of the last ones) Search for canned responses, click enable and then save changes. To save a canned response: Compose a new email. Enter the subject and body of the email. (If you have a signature that is inserted before quoted text or when you reply to an email, you’ll want to delete your signature when saving the canned response. Otherwise, you’ll see your signature twice.) If you aren’t sure, go to the gear icon > settings > general > scroll down to signature. If the little box is checked under your signature then delete your signature in the email body when saving a new canned response. When you’ve added [...]

Ministry Has No Small Tasks

By |2020-05-08T15:49:51-04:00July 7th, 2016|Faith, Faith-Based Leadership|

“Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”  |Romans 12:4-8| God has given each of us unique talents, qualities and abilities.  Personally, I enjoy the details. I like doing the tasks that many people roll their eyes at when they think about doing them. I cringe, start to sweat, and my heart beats a million miles a minute at the thought of speaking in front of a group of people or doing anything where the spotlight is on me. Each team member [...]
