In an increasingly noisy world where quietness is really hard to find, here are a few of our favorite ways to witness without words!
1. LOVE people
The world can be so negative and evil, change the script by showing love. How? Love the way Jesus loves us. (Romans 5:8)
2. SERVE people
Use your hands to serve the people around you. Serving makes us “others focused”, like Jesus. (Matthew 20:28)
3. PRAY for people
But that requires words? Yes, we’ll admit it.. this one does technically require words, but we’d encourage you to spend a few moments in the quietness of your own heart praying for the people around you. Your Starbucks barista, Target cashier, the woman jogging through your neighborhood, pray for them and know that God will move. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
4. LISTEN to people
Like we said, the world is SO loud. So taking a second to stop talking and start listening to those around you will show others that you care in a way that they’re probably not use to. The way Jesus cares. (James 1:19)
5. CONSIDER people
When we choose to put other peoples needs before our own we are instantly set apart from our culture. In a world full of “self help”, being others focused is not promoted. Be like Jesus, and consider others FIRST. (1 Thessalonians 3:12 or Matthew 5:16)
