“Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakeable, let us be thankful and please God by worshipping Him with holy fear and awe.” – Hebrews 12:28
Unshakeable.
That’s the word that keeps coming back to me as I’ve reflected on this verse over the last few days.
Think about it: there’s nothing in our lives that’s unshakeable except for our God and His Kingdom. To be clear, unshakeable doesn’t mean we’ll never experience pain or failure in this world.
But despite the pain.

Despite the failure.

Despite the hardships.

Despite the suffering.

We have received a Kingdom that is unshakeable.
A Kingdom that cannot be stripped away, destroyed or diminished. The gift of His unshakeable Kingdom is enough to praise Him. It’s enough to be grateful.
Yet sometimes, it’s so easy for us to put more of our confidence into inferior sources. We find security and comfort in things that are shakeable.
Careers. Money. Stuff. Status.
All of which are shakeable. Completely lacking in comparison to our great God.
This week, as we journal our gratitude, let’s make sure our hearts are centered on being grateful for the unshakeable gifts of His Kingdom.
