The Best iOs Photo & Video Apps for Business

Apps

Looking for the best iOs photo and video apps for business? If you’re using social media to grow a platform, these are important tools to have in your toolbox. (Plus, I can’t answer “What app is that?” as often as it’s asked!)

Some are free & some aren’t, but they’re all worth the download. Enjoy!

Photo Apps

Typic

Any pic you see that contains one of my logos (Myers Cross Training, Cross Training Couture, or She Works His Way), this is the app I’ve used to create it. It’s also fantastic for putting words on photos, and it has some great filters.

PicFrame

If you need to get multiple pictures in a frame, this is what I use. There are several others that are similar, but this is my go-to app.

Camera+

For basic photo editing & re-touching lighting or contrast, this app is super user friendly.

TouchBlur

If you need to blur out the background of a photo (like if you’re working out in your garage & there’s a lawn mower right behind you), this is the app for you.

Photoblend

If you need to merge two photos, you can use this app to do just that.

Video Apps

iMovie

This is my app that I edit almost every video in first. I can add music/voiceover, slow it down, speed it up, add transitions, split screens, etc. If you haven’t upgraded to the iPhone 6 yet, you may not have all of the features you see me using. This app just keeps getting better!

PicPlayPost

When you see me do a video that has a text box at the bottom, this is what I use. I use a blank picture of text for the bottom picture, make the bottom photo as small as possible & fill the top box with the video I edited in iMovie. There are many arrangements of posts/videos you can use, but the two horizontal boxes is what I use the majority of the time.

VidLab

If you need text on your video, this is the app I use for that effect. It has many other uses too, but that’s my main use.

Two Extra Tips

I decided to also include some free social media etiquette tips, here are just two tips before asking the question, “What app is that?” on someone’s post.

1. Has the question already been answered on that post?

It never seems to fail that I get asked, “What app is that?” multiple times after I’ve already answered the question. Chances are – if you wanted to know, someone else did too! Double check the comments to see if the question has already been answered.

2. Why do you want to know what app it is?

Chances are, we want to know because we want to be able to duplicate the app for our own personal use or business use.

But it was their creativity caught your eye.

Or the content was awesome.

Or it was well-branded.

Or it was easy to follow.

Whatever our reason, it boils down to the fact that it was a great photo/video/post & their content deserves a comment before simply jumping into our own agenda. They obviously put time & effort into it, so let’s offer encouragement in a world where it’s missing too often!

So for example, “I love how you used two videos side-by-side. That was so cool – I watched it several times. Would you mind telling me which app you used? This would be so helpful for me when I do a high-impact workout move so I could show the appropriate modification at the same time. Thanks!”

That’s much more likely to get a response from someone instead of simply asking, “What app is that?”

So… do you have a favorite photo or video app? Please leave your favorite app in the comments & how you use it. I’d love to make this post a great resource for all, and your input is appreciated!

  1. I really enjoy using PicLab in my Android. Super easy to use but offers enough functions to help me make some of my pictures look more eye-catching. Thanks so much for the info you provided! I have PicPlayPost as well, I just don’t use it often.

  2. My favorite apps are:

Pixlr – It acts sort of like Camera+ but it has my most favorite feature – getting rid of pimples and post acne marks on your face, plus much more.

Facetune – This one brightens your photos if you are like me and you don’t have a diva ring, plus it smooths out your face as well like a professional would.

Rhonna – My most favorite app to add beautiful text to my photos and cute icons/clip art

I hope those help! I love these apps the most of all my apps and they have been my most used lol.

  3. I love using WordSwag! There is a free version, but the paid one is worth the $2… Great for words on pictures and editing images too. Also, not apps- but I use Canva.com daily for social media– think photoshop, but user friendly and mostly free! Enjoy.
