Frequently Asked Questions

Sometimes it’s a list of the books we think you’d want to read and sometimes it’s a quiz to help you figure out what processes or systems are broken at home or work and steps for how to fix them. It just depends, but we can promise you that because our resources are created for SWHW women by SWHW women, they’ll always exist to help you simplify, and they’ll always be gospel centered.

Afterparties will happen live in Zoom! Somer will get the party started every Wednesday at 1pm EST, and then you’ll get to head to your own small group made up of a few other women in the SWHW Network. In that group you’ll continue the conversation we started on the podcast that week. Sometimes we’ll have resources to help you take inventory, and sometimes we’ll just have simple prompts and questions to help facilitate the conversation. Either way, you’ll have an opportunity to get to know each other better while hopefully being encouraged and challenged in your walk with God. And bonus, we’ll send the link to the afterparty directly to your inbox every Wednesday morning. Easy peasy.

Nope. If we know anything, we know that your inboxes probably look like ours, so we’re going to keep the communication valuable, simple, and encouraging. We’re also going to promise not to overdo it. And the other reason we decided to do our main communicating with you by email or text is because we wanted to move away from social media and Facebook groups. And website member portals for the most part are complicated and overwhelming, so this is it… we’re taking it back to old school connection and simple communication.

THIS is the how that gives action to why we exist. SWHW exists to resource and equip women to make disciples wherever they are. Around a dining room table, in a board room, or in their local church, we want to see women gathering to build deep relationships and an even deeper love for God through better understanding of His Word. So on Mondays at 1 pm, a SWHW Bible teacher will be meeting you to walk you through a passage of the Bible in a nonintimidating way for the purpose of helping you to grow in your knowledge of God so that you can eventually help others do the same. *These are recorded for those times you can’t be on live.

SWHW articles are published on our website and often shared to our wider audience in email and on social media. They are used to help teach and encourage SWHW women, as well as women who just happen upon them from time to time. We are always looking to utilize the diverse perspectives and the amazing wisdom of the women in this community so if you’re a writer and you’re looking for an audience to share what God has given you, we’re interested!
